About Us

Franca and Sarla met almost 20 years ago while they were working part-time and completing their undergraduate degrees in psychology.  Their shared interest in psychology was the basis for a budding friendship.  As they moved on to further education, full-time careers and personal milestones, their friendship grew.

During the summer of 2005, after many successful years in their respective fields, the two friends found themselves at a crossroads.  Each friend was wondering how she could use her knowledge and experience to do something powerful.  Each friend realized that she wanted to empower lives in a unique way.  However, neither expected the strange turn of events that would take place.

While Franca was vacationing in India in November, she was inspired to begin training in hypnosis and experienced a strong urge to call Sarla upon her return home.  One Monday morning Sarla was wondering if Franca had returned from her vacation because she wanted to share her news about a new career she was considering.  A few minutes later, when Sarla heard the phone ring, she had a feeling it was Franca.  As Franca told Sarla how she had been inspired to study hypnosis while on vacation, Sarla was speechless and finally uttered two words: “me too”.

Franca and Sarla believe there are no coincidences in life.  They could not have imagined the circumstances that would bring them to this point in their lives.  A point, in which they discovered that they shared the same vision, had the complimentary skills to achieve it and the opportunity to do so.  They decided to collaborate and start a new journey together.  In the spring of 2006, Art of Empowerment Inc. was born.  With great anticipation, they look forward to the journey of their vision.
