When we entered this world at birth, we had a basic script written for us - "CRY". When we cried most of our basic needs were met and life was relatively simple. As we grew through our formative years, the script for many of us remained simple - "PLAY, GO TO SCHOOL, STUDY". Then as we entered the real world, most of us simply did what we've done in the past, we picked up yet another script - "GET A JOB, WORK HARD, HAVE A FAMILY, RETIRE".

How many of us have fallen into the habit of living a life that has been scripted for us? Do we realize that we have the choice to create our own unique scripts? We have the choice to design our lives instead of reacting to them. When you look at people who are living their best lives, they have something in common: they have dared to write their own unique script and consciously edit it as they learn and grow.

This is what the New Year is all about: creating a new manuscript for the New Year (and maybe even the new decade, if you are feeling ambitious!). Ask yourself:

What do I want to do with my life?

Where do I want to be?

How do I want to be?

Why do I want to be?

It doesn't matter if you are 20 or 70 years old - these questions still matter. Don't expect to come up with the answers in one day. It is a process and one definitely worth your effort. Use your answers to write your new manuscript and then follow it (editing when necessary).  And remember that we are here with the tools and resources to help you and yours hurdle over any obstacles.
