Francesca Gigliotti Chari

Francesca Gigliotti Chari is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree (University of Toronto, 1997) and is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.  She has specific training to use Narrative Therapy and Hypnosis with children.

Since 1998 Francesca has provided counselling services to individuals, couples and families living with mental illness.   Francesca's work in clinical hypnotherapy is driven by an eclectic approach which integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Communication Theory, Systems Theory, and Narrative Therapy.  Francesca believes that clients are the experts of their lives and works using a client-centred approach to collaboratively work with clients to define the methods and action plans that will be utilized in therapy.

Since 2000 Francesca has facilitated various psycho-therapeutic, self-help support groups. Because Francesca is fluent in Italian, she offers services in both English and Italian.  She has also worked with community organizations to implement integrated programs for children with developmental challenges such as Autism and Pervasive Developmental Delay.
